It is a Hagstrom BJ12M 12 string acoustic... never seen or heard of a 12 string acoustic by Hagstrom, any info? also, if anyone has an idea on its value? serial number:101879

to be honest, i never heard of hogstrom, but it looks like a pretty nice acoustic, good condition. but couldnt find a year on the serial number either, sorry if this doesnt help

They're swedish guitars, and apparently have awesome resonance. There isn't a lot of information on them, and you can't date them from the serial number as the company closed down. But if I had to take a guess at dating your guitar from the serial number when compared to a few serial numbers that have definitive dates with them, I would put it sometime in the late 60's to early to mid 70's. They're supposedly awesome 12 strings, David Bowie recorded a song or 2 with one as well. Check out this website for some more information. http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/ If you browse around you should be able to find out what you need. The -m model has a slightly smaller body than the more robust bj-12, and its not a very common guitar. As far as price goes I really couldn't tell you, if you poke around on that website long enough you should be able to find something to help you out though.
