Does it bug you when artists play electric guitars in music videos
without an amp or cable in sight?

no not really, because i is smart enough to know that they went wireless so they dont need a cable. the wireless system works like this:
one antenna plugs into the guitar, and another in the amp
the one in the guitar sends radio waves to one in amp
it works kinda like walkie talkies or something.
if u didnt think of that then u is a dumbass!

you guys know they have wireless guitar setups these days and it can also be built in if its a custom which most artists guitars are at least somewhat custom.. thus its quite likely that almost any musician you see in a music video could have a wireless set up built in... and as for the amp well, i could get all deep and say that perhaps what you are hearing isn't actually anything from any amp but the musicians internal mental creation of what they want their song to sound like. but i'll just leave it at , you're watching a music video what do you expect to see?? the band standing on a stage or in a studio with cables going all over and them just playing the song,. hell no, you expect to see some cool or crazy ****. something creative that is a visual representation of the song..

so does it bug me , nope not at all.

But they didn't exist in early 1990's inbuilt to a Les Paul that's 500 metres away from the church. And who in god's name would have a JCM at their wedding just in case your best man wants to run out and play?

it bugs me when a band wastes a whole bunch of green paint to make a political statement in their video that no one cares about...

Yeah, it does bug me...I mean, really, how hard is it to at least plug in a cord? Even worse is when what the guitarist is playing onscreen is not even close to what is being played in the song. Man, if my band ever makes a video, whoever edits the footage is gonna hate me.

I know plenty believe me. I've seen both Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For My Valentine live, so don't tell me I don't know my metal.

nope. If I'm able to believe that Slash can rise up out of the ocean and, standing on only water like Jesus Christ himself, play a solo right after axl swam with dolphins, I can also find it easy to believe that he doesn't need an amp or cables to do so.
