you'll know when your strings need changing if they're black.

I never break strings but I change about every 2 weeks - a month because its difficult to shred on rusty strings.

2 weeks is the best bet. Ive heard somewhere that strings have a 30hr playing life, so i guess that adds up

Eh,
a. My strings are black.
b. the e is broken but I'm to lazy to restring it, and I will have to give the fretboard a bit of a clean too, because it's getting a bit, err.

I will do it soon I guess.

With a heavy gauge like 10-52 I change em once they get old.

Those things never break no matter how long I play them

About once a month for me, more often if I'm using a lighter guage.

I play as much as you, I change my strings whenever they break which is about every 2-4 weeks, which is when they're quite worn out.
