Hi,

I recently just upgraded all of my gear but I needed a new amp so I finally decided on the LINE6 Spider III 75watt amp.

Now I have a Schecter C1 Exotic Star, a BOSS MT2 Metal Zone and a Spider III 75..

I went from a Roland Microcube so all the dials are a little confusing to me.

I kinda get how it all works etc but I cant get a nice clean metal tone from it.

I was wondering if someone could give me some instructions or pointers etc on how I can get a nice sound from it?

I play the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames etc...

Thanks in advance,

*facepalm*

Please don't buy a Spider.

EDIT: Well you already bought one.... fantastic. Good luck never getting a good tone out of it.

Try playing yours at a respectable volume and you'll see what I mean. It's a practice amp, and nothing more. High volumes = not good.

Unfortunately UG reviews say EVERYTHING kicks ass.

Do a search for 'Line 6 Spider' on the forums and see what it returns.

On topic:

Stick it on the Metal mode, and play around with the EQ.

A little bit of delay makes for a nice lead tone as well if you're into that kind of thing.

DO NOT RUN THE METAL ZONE THROUGH IT.
New tracks on my profile! Please check them out and see what you think!

DAMNIT MAN!!

Sad thing was I was gonna be a PEAVEY BANDIT!! Dont even think I can take it back for an exchange.

Why is it bad putting the METAL ZONE through it? Please tell me thats not another £50 wasted.
