Hey

I'm finally learnign under the bridge. I was watching a video of john playing it and i was trying his style of playing, like using the thumb for the low E string. Does anyone else do this and find it easier to switch chords? Also, how would you do that for like the C#m at the ninth fret or G#m at the fourth fret. would u bar the two notes at teh G and B string?

Yes, you would play those as simply bar chords. I've played Under the Bridge for years, and you don't need to use your thumb to fret any notes. I didn't watch the video, admittedly, but he might just be muting the low E on certain chords. That's a technique I use, and it can be pretty useful.
