So I'm looking to broaden my horizons on my guitar playing but I don't listen to any jazz, blues, or much classic rock. I'm looking for songs that fall under those genres that are relatively popular: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, etc.

As for as Clapton goes, I've already learned Tears in Heaven and Wonderful Tonight. Those are the only blues I know as of yet... But I'm just looking to grow in every way and let every genre influence my personal writings

Thanks in advance

To be honest neither of those songs are really blues - best thing to do is do a bit of research on the history of the blues and follow the evolution of it yourself. Listen to stuff by the early artists and work forward from there.

Jazz: check out some Joe Pass. Blues: B.B. King, Robert Johnson, ect.. You didn't metion it in your post but if your up to it check out some neoclassical type players: Vinnie Moore, Ynwie Mamsteen, I remember listening to those guys opened up a whole new world of the guitar for me..Theres also other greats like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

Many of those are blues inspired but none are actual blues songs. Except maybe little wing.

Voodoo Child is blues, and I love every song wasp mentioned to death.

Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher. Robert Johnson, 3 Kings (BB King, Albert King, etc) for your Blues fix.
