Eh guys..I play on my *Valve King* alot not and I still have
this spider collecting dust..

It has enough wattage for a small open mic or whatever..
So I was wondering...Could I get a 5watt tube amp and
just drive the Spider's clean channel?

Any risk of setting it on fire? or Wrecking somethin else?
I bet Charlie Brown's teacher's name was Mrs.Hammett

of anything like this..
I just dont wanna burn down anthing...

I have a Randall 2x12 combo that had bad tone but pretty good speakers. So I clipped the speaker cable of the Randall and spliced it with a 1/4" input speaker cable. I use it to drive my heads now and it works perfectly.

You can clip the speaker cable and wire it back later. This way you don't have to power up the Spider. This is only beneficial if the Spider's speakers are better than the tube combo's.

sell your Spider and your RP. Then sell your other pedals. Now you have money to buy decent things.

DON'T DO THAT. You'll likely melt every solder in the spider, and fry the OT in the tube amp. You can do a little conversion to use the speaker in the spider with a small tube head, but that's very different from plugging an amp head into the guitar input on the spider. Neither the input, nor the circutry, is designed to handle that kind of signal.
