how hard would it be to put a tuneomatic onto my old squire? not worth the trouble?

Your squire has a tremolo right? In which case no, you'd have to fill the gap re drill holes and refinish the whole body (as well as put in either a stop tail or string thru)

Unfortunatly the hollow space for the wammy is right where the sleeves for the studs need to go. So yea its alot of work to do. And would probably sit up to high anyways unless using a recessed mount. And you still have the problem of stop piece or string thru to deal with.

my buddy and I did this to his squire. It took a lot more work than we bargained for. It's almost impossible to fill the trem route with any wood+filler combination that will look right when painted over. Also, we had to re-angle the neck, and it's hard to get pickups high enough to be close enough to the strings to sound right.

alright then. maybe ill just replace the saddles with graphtechs lol.....i had a feeling i was going to have to fill, drill and whatnot. i just wanted to hear it from people who do this more than me.
