THe difference between a Squier, and a mexican strat??

tone quaility wise, and anything else that is different between them two

You mean difference between Fender and Squier?
Well the Fenders will have better hardware, better sustain due to better quality wood, possibly more frets, better tuners.

B/c my friend had a strat and it said STRATOCASTER in big letters and fender next to it.

then he said that it's a mexican made strat

It's a Made in Mexico strat. Nothing really special about it.

The Mexico strat is pretty much the same as an American strat. But a Squier is not a very good guitar unless you put some work into it.

Stay away from Squier and Fender until you go up into the high end Fenders. The cheap stuff is okay, but it's a little overpriced.
