That would be a waste of $250 in my mind. The guitar is made of all laminate wood. Look for something with a solid top...you might have to spend a little more, but it will be worth it in the end. I think you could probably find a Washburn d10s 12-string for around that price, and it would be a much better choice.

I'd try a 6 string acoustic then 12 string.

when i tried to play a 12 string as a beginner, my arms died within 10 minutes. couldnt keep playing. my whole forearm started getting stiff. start with a 6 string as a training guitar. it'll help a lot.

I really like how someone misused "timbre" in the review on there.

FYI I'm not just getting into guitar, I've been playing electric and a little bit of bass for something like three years. I was just thinking about buying something like a 12 string since it'd be something cool to have to play any acoustic stuff I know.

the finger strength of an electric player and an acoustic player are very different. i can almost guarantee that your arm will probably get tired pretty fast. since you have experience, however, then you'll probably be ok with 12 string. but you'll have to train your fingers again. the tension difference between a 6 and 12 string is pretty big. the difference between electric and 12 string is giant.
