I have decided to fill up the pickup hole (bathtub route) on my cheap guitar so that I can have a different pup combination (just a bridge humbucker). What should I use to fill the hole? I first thought of bondo, but the hole is huge so its impractical. I could cut out a piece of wood to size and put it in, sealing it around the edges with bondo, but i dunno.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
