Hey I'm still new so don't kick me down too fast here

I'm planning on purchasing:

Ibanez RG7321 7-string and installing Phase I Blackout Pickups

And some lower guage strings if I can

Do you think that this is a good setup?

As well I'm thinking of getting a Line6 Spider III Amp

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Meh... I like Spiders. I don't get why everyone has so much against them.
And I'll take everything from the inside, and throw it all away cause I swear for the last time, I won't trust myself with you =+Linkin Park+=

Spiders sound good if u have little to no ear for tone. When I first started playing, I thought my DS-1 was awesome. Three years or so later, i now can tell you its not worth the $40 unless u like to mod pedals. Go for something like a Vox AD30 or an AD30XL. And idk if Blackouts will fit the 7-string. But idk much about Blackouts honestly.

if you think that spiders are 'TeHHH BRoooTALLLLZZZZ' then go for it, fine by me, but dont come running back to UG saying "i think i made a mistake, I BOUGHT A SPIDER!!" cos i'll be here waiting to laugh at you. and TBH i like the fact that everyone buys spiders, it just means i have better tone than you .

Roland Cube 60 would suit you nicely.
