Who'd win in a straighter. A guitar or a bass?

Well, stupid people would say guitar, but that's because they've never heard straight up jazz on a bass. Which, is easier and just as catchy than a guitar because you only hit one note at a time, where as on guitar, you need to make all this strange chords.

I don't think nearly as many people as you think have ever wanted to ask this question.

bass in jazz is amazing but guitar doesn't have to be chords. if you compare a bass solo to a guitar solo in any style of music, it can really be close. it all comes down to the musician thats playing the guitar or bass.

Not only that, but the sound and fullness of the bass with jazz, just doesn't compare.

It's like asking "who would win in a fight?", Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee? Bruce did teach Chuck Karate
