I'm curious as to how everyone would finger this particular riff. I can play it at at least half the speed, but my playing gets a little sloppy and unclear at full speed. Now, I know i'm gonna get the advice to "practice" and that's what I'm doing, but if there's a better way to do it then that'd be helpful.

|--3--| |--3--| |--3--| |--3--| |--3--| |--3--|
E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E H Q
----------------------------------------|----------------------------------||
----------------------------------------|----------------------------------||
--10--9--7------------------------------|----------------------------------||
------------10--9--7--9--7--6-----------|----------------------------------||
-------------------------------8--7--5--|----------------------------------||
----------------------------------------|--8--7--5--7--5--4--0-------------||

Now on the D I'm fretting the 10th with my pinky as well as the second time the 9th fret is played, essentially moving my hand up a whole half step. Is this the best way to do it or should I be trying to stretch my middle and ring finger to between the 9th and 7th frets?

You can do it either way, whatever works best for you. Practice both, and eventually when playing you will notice you're doing it one way automatically, without even thinking about it.
