Anyone else have any information about this or the protest that happened a few days ago?

4chan FTW!

They protested and picketed infront of Scientology's HQ and are going to do it every month for a while.

They also wore masks and blasted Rick Roll

What is their cause? Surely those people should be allowed to practise Scientology if they want to.

Almost as convenient as Wikipedia, but infinitely more hipster, Dover.

I can assure you, half the majority of those protesters knew nothing about what was going on; they were probably just friends of the other protesters. They all wore Guy Fawkes masks and shouted memes.

Scientology tries to suppress free speech, it has been responsible for the deaths of quite a few people, many other illegal things are being caused by it.

They shouldn't be allowed to practice their "religion" if it breaks laws.

Yeah but the higher ups in the "business" (not church) should be held accountable for brainwashing/murdering people. Just like various priests were held responsible for raping kiddies.

1) This thread will be closed in minutes, methinks
2) March 15th is the next organised one, or so I've heard.

So 4Chan actually care about people enough to protest against something they think is wrong?

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing [sic] our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!"[

It's funny, because 4chan probably supplied you with that picture.

4chan will win. They always win, there are too many of them to lose.

All religions supress free speech, and Anonymus is hypocrite.

They laugh at peoples deaths, watch child porn and now they care if someone gets robbed?

You really think that it's because they care about it? It's an easy target to provoke, they're (scientology) known for taking action against people who speak ill of them. The whole thing is basically a giant trolling.

Members of a bunch of major religions try to suppress free speech, have been responsible for the deaths of many people, and have done other illegal things. But their religions aren't outlawed.

Gee I wonder what trying to prevent people from practicing Scientology amounts to?

who's trying to stop people from practising scientology?

the protests are bringing the cults activities to the attention of the general public allowing them to make an informed decision. Nobody's stopping anyone from choosing to practice scientology

Oh. Well that's good then, if a little pointless.
