Im trying to find a program that will slow down the song im trying to learn so i can play along with it and build up speed. i tried using garageband but it doesnt support mp3 files... any help would be appreciated... oh and i use a mac so the software would have to be compatible for a mac... thank you so much

if you have the part memorized but are just trying to get faster at it, you could also use audacity its got a function that lets you slow the tempo down on a song without changing the pitch. I've used it in the past, it works pretty good.

If you're willing to spend some money, check out The Amazing Slow Downer, doug (casualty01) recommended it to me awhile ago and it's a great little program. Worth the money.

I'm pretty sure Guitar Pro is cheaper than that (maybe not though) I got it for free originally but when I bought Vista I decided to buy a legit copy, I love Guitar Pro.
