Ive been using heavy for the longest time, but now im going back to my medium gauge picks and i kind of like them.

Which do you think is better in the long run, or is it just 100% preference?
#2
Depends how you define 'Medium' and Heavy'. I use Jazz III's but I can't stand anything under 1 mm.
#3
100% preference. It all depends on what feels best for you.
I vary a lot in picks, right now I use the Jazz III 1.14 mm picks

Like the guy above me - under 1 mm, I can't stand it. Except for chords
Ibanez s540 with gold Schaller bridge and OMGGOLD hardware

Ibanez RGR320 with Lo-Edge Pro bridge and scalloped fretboard

Lee Jackson XLSC - 500

Roland Microcube

Dunlop Jazz III black

i used to use heavy picks but then i broke strings really quick-but that could have been because i used my whole arm instead of my hand:$so now i switched my picking technique and my picks are meduim now and they are easier to play with and i dont break strings as often
#35
Tortex 1.14 or something like that? I won't play with anything else.
#38
I use the yellow dunlop tortex picks (0.73 mm I think).

Tortex lasts foreveeer.
