May you enlighten us on the models of the Marshall (I can already guess it's probably an MG *facepalm*)and Randall? Also, what boss are you talking about?
And for the multi effects, get neither.

Or he's better off getting neither and getting all single effect pedals.

Yeah, the boss would be better of the two, but if he can use the money that he would have spent on a multieffect, he could get a nicer amp.

How did I ever guess :P?
Forget the pedal for now, how much money do you have altogehter?
It's much better to get a good amp with no pedals than a bad amp with a multi.
And you play mainly metallica you say?

Hmm... Forget about the pedal, it's really not needed, and they're really not that good.
I'm trying to come up with a good amp recommendation.
I have a nice tube randall in mind. Will you be gigging, practicing, using it in band practice, or what?
And what other stuff do you use it for besides metallica? Is it mainly harder metal like them, or do you play bluesey or rock stuff too?

Spend your leftover cash on a modded tubescreamer (Not a multi effect please).
Then... You'll have one pretty good metal rig.

my main is metallica but i also play song like stariway to heaven, nothing else matters and creep

Yeah, go with the randall I suggested. I had the privelege of trying out one when I was on my journey for a new amp. Very good for your style. It can get brootal as you want it to be, and even more if you have a tubescreamer boosting it.
And since it's a good tube amp (Not bashing SS), it'll sound good at high volumes.
