Wait until you've got the amp then come back when you know what you need to get your sound.

EDIT: The amp is in a shop 5 min away from where i'm sitting my house, so i'm sure of the sound i will be having.

Have you played your guitar through it?

And as a tip without knowing anything about the guitar or amp I wouldn't recommend the X2N but there are any number of good high output pickups out there, look around more.

Thanks...since that has to do with the X2N or Ice Bucker...

no others, no actives just those please i've narrowed it after a month or 2 of looking

Which amp are you getting? the most i could say would be to wait and hear how your new amp sounds and then get pickups from there.

I dont recommend the X2N at all though.

EDit: you really should consider other pickups.

thank you something actually usefull.

I believe its a Bogner. I was to busy being awed by its sound and playing it haha

really what are the downs to the X2N because i've heard it be praised a good amount. haven't heard anything on the Ice Buckers. due to price and everything but, though the risk was ok

People say that a X2N lacks tone, what you get is alot of power but not alot of good sound.

A pickup I could recommend though would be a Dimarzio D-sonic.

Edit: For what you pay for those other pickups you were considering, you could get some Bareknuckles or Swineheads.

That is another pickup I was going to tell you about.

I think it would work pretty well.

Yeh i had it between the x2n and That but i was going to try something neew out.

well thanks i guess its pretty much settled

sh-5 it is

i still might get the ice bucker..im too intrigued but i'll put it in a diff guitar

Type in "dimarzio X2n" on youtube and look for a guy named "leftyrob"

I think the X2N is a fine investment
Was going to get one but I'm going with a Seymour Duncan SH-12.
Which is also fine
If you want to hear the seymour duncan SH-12, George Lynch uses one and so does Anchang (frontman) of the Sex Machineguns.
