Ok so i have a Scheter hellraiser and i need a new amp. One prefferable around the 400-700 dollar range, needs to be loud enough to practice with and play super small gigs, and im mostly into punk, or modern rock any ideas?

ive tried the windsor and its pretty weak in the gain dept. but maybe its just me and my metal-ness lol. maybe a tube was failing who knows. its good for classic rock for sure. an OD pedal and the windsor is a great idea tho for you. at that price range you can do a Peavey classic with a great cab too.......but small gigs, maybe just get the combo version and customize from there in due time (speakers, tubes, etc.)

for Punk and Modern Rock, the Windsor should have enough gain, and if he wants to go into metal territory, then yes, he would want an OD.

Just remembered Traynor though, so other suggestions would be
