I've discovered that my hands are a bit too small to comfortably play chords on a guitar and I just wanted to know if getting a smaller guitar would be the best solution. Thanks

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

I think there are 3/4 scale child's guitars. Check musiciansfriend or something.

unless you got a guitar made for children, i think the fingerboards on most guitars are going to be pretty much the same size. just eat lots of spinach and watch lots of porn. that'll make you grow up reall fast.

I have no opinion on this matter.

How small are your hands? Like measure from the edge of your palm to the tip of your middle finger.

I bet they manufacture them in Oz, seeing as how it's mostly occupied by munchkins.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

You could try a full size guitar with a small neck (Many Ibanez's, Jacksons etc).

I've heard that Jackson Dinky's aren't full size...

You have to take the grippy pick road to Guitar Castle if you want to get it.

Do that. I have freaking big hands and I still love thin necks.

How long have you been playing? 1 week?

Seriously, I thought the same thing when I first started playing guitar. It hurt like a mofo just to do simple chords. It takes about a month of straight practicing for your fingers to develop dexterity. After that, you're golden. I have friends who quit playing guitar because they said their fingers were too long or their hands were too big so go figure. Just practice your chords alot, your fingers will develop.

Try the shorter scale guitars like the Mustang if you really cannot take it.

However, if you're inexperienced, just continue playing with your current guitar, and you'll get used to it.
