righty, i recently got my new amp and when i was looking on the internet it looked all fine and dandy but when i got it home (its the line 6 spider 3 150 watt), i hated it it was just not me and silly me i bought an fbv express pedal aswell for it.

Im thinking on selling the line 6 with the fbv express pedal for a new amp

could anybody tell me an amp i should get

(i do gigging, i wuld lyk one with a hed and a cab, and id say my budget is £600)

thank you very much

You could sufficiently gig with a combo.

What genres do you play?

1. Good idea selling it
2. You don't need a half stack
3. What do you play?
4. PLEASE use correct langage MUCH easier to read then.

Another example of 'I bought a cheap halfstack online with the promise it had great tone but lo and behold it turned out to be a Spider oh **** what do I do now?'
Sell, buy tube combo, enjoy
ohai little sig.

You don't need a head and cab you can't afford a decent one with that budget anyway - depending on your style look at the Orange Rocker 30 combo.

The others have made good suggestions, look into those. And be sure to TRY your gear BEFORE you buy it. You don't want to go and make big purchases like a 150 watt amp without trying it first.

Price range? Genres? The DSL 401 is pretty alright and can do loads of things. I think the 2244 is good but it's a tweaker. Used 2204 maybe?

Not without blowing your budget, try the other amps they suggested you'll most likely be happy with one of those.

EDIT: ^I forgot about the DSL, I've never tried one but you should definitely try it. Remember, just because it says Marshall on it doesn't mean it's going to be good. The MG series is proof of that.

For Marshall tones buying new, you can pick up a TSL60 around that price, or a Peavey Valveking 112 is perfectly fine if you want to save a few more quid. Also try out the Laney VC and Lionheart series and see what sort of stuff you want.

Of course you can do much better if you buy second hand but I can't be bothered naming particular amps, there've been loads of great suggestions already...

What styles do you play mostly?
#15
does anyone know whats a good site with these amps u have been talking about

i cant find the dsl on gak?

thanks

OK. Marshall are great and that, but Marshall =/= good okay?
The DSL is mediocre with your budget at most.
Here's the Marshall: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/marshall-dsl401/283

But I would STRONGLY recommend you looking at these:

It will suit what you play to the ground.

30 watts is enough to make Ludwig Van Beethoven go deaf.

Um, yeah it is. If you need more power than 30 watts of tube, then you're deaf. And if you really need more than 30 than the place you're playing at will most likely have a PA you can mic your amp with.

You'd only find usable hard rock tones in the valve ones. Even then, the Orange would walk all over it.

much to learn have you, young Skywalker...

30 watts of orange rocker is more than you'll ever need - seriously, it's the standout amp for your styles in your budget by a mile.

Traynors are worth a look too, although harder to find, but the Rocker is perfect.

I have an Orange Rocker 30 (check the video review!)

I have gigged with it for about 300-400 persons, unmiced on 2. So yes 30W is loud enough to gig.

For that budget and for a Marshall type tone which is a gain monster the Laney GH50L is an absolute beast.
Schecter C1 Classic Left Handed
Line 6 POD HD500
Peavey Valveking 112
