Whenever I use my distortin pedal i can hear the pick scrape the strings over my amp. Is there anything I can do to reduce that noise, or make it stop completly?

Thanks.

hit the strings with the pick going at a 45 degree angle from the strings, and less gain, should take care of it
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

Pick perpendicular (sp?) to the body and make sure you hit the strings with the tip of your pick. If you really "dig in" you're gonna hear some scraping allright. But especially with some gain, no matter how light you pick, there will always be some picking noise.
