I have trained a live tarantula to calm and sit on my guitar due to the awesome powers of my rocking. When I am not playing it angrily bounces about my room hitting everything that isn't me.

All I have are youtube vids/soundclips to go by but if any of them can sound like this then the amp seems like a good buy.
The one in the vid is supposedly modded though.

Lol, I think it was my review, I just put it in yesterday on UG reviews.
Anyways, there's a ten minute long sound clip in my profile of the head.

the tone sounds great, but is it loud enough? it seems pretty small

depends what you plan on using it for.

5 tube watts is surprisingly loud, someone I know mic'd up his Valve Junior at a large gym and managed to get through the mix, it also sounded amazing cause he was getting some natural drive from it.

Though I don't know if the Blackheart could do that.

On 5 watt mode, it's loud. Loud enough to get over drums.
Plus, it sounds fantastic when it's cranked.

you could wait until April to get t 7 - 15 watt halfstack or combo

I can also vouch for the "plenty loud" designation. I've had my half-stack since Friday and in 5 watt mode it approaches "too loud" for basement practicing at 10. I've had to dial it back to 12 o'clock to keep sanity in the rest of my house. The sound is unbelievable, smooth n creamy.
