I'm trying to decide between these two SGs:

G400:

vintage G400:

I went to Guitar Center yesterday and played the vintage one and I loved it. Everything but the paint job that is. It was a worn cherry but it looked too saturated and almost a brownish color. Is this a result of the factory move to china? A lot of pics i see of the vintage g400 look beautiful and i'm assuming the good looking ones are korean made.

But what about the regular G400s? Some pics I've seen of that one seen to have a tiger stripe thing going on with the wood where the grain of the wood shows up too much or too dark and contrasting with the cherry paint job. Some others, however, are so beautiful I cry a little inside. (ahem) Any answers to some of these questions would be awesome, as I am an SG freak and have always wanted an SG.
