Hi, I'm building my first pedal, the brian may booster with the board off of tonepad.com.
http://tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=83
I ordered all my parts off of Smallbear, but the capacitors I got are a bit fishy to me, maybe not to you?

The values are:
1 0.001
1 0.0047
1 0.047
1 0.022
All in microfarads. But they dont say that, see...

I figure this one is easy, because it says .047k right on it. But why does it say k?

That one says F427KP
630 PP1

That one says F223K Q
630MPP1

And finally this says F102KR
630PP1

Now I can read that this electrolytic one is 47 mf, but which end is positive? I thought they had the legs on the same side of the cap. I emailed the guy and he said that the grooved side is positive, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks to all, I'm anxious to start my build.

Caps aren't nearly as standardized when it comes to markings like resistors are.

Check this page out: http://www.csgnetwork.com/capcodeinfo.html

That guy is right. The grooved side is usually positive. Radial caps have legs on the same sides, axial do not (I think).

Thanks a lot man, I'll try it out.

EDIT: K thanks, I was able to find the values.
I'll still leave this thread open so that people can find that site and so they won't be surprised when i make a thread about how awesome it sounds.
