My father went through the computer that I had my iTunes Library on, and deleted everything on the computer. I lost my itunes library, and I really need to get those songs back. Is there any way I can upload these songs from my iPod, which still has them, to my computer? I can't figure it out, but I figure there must be a way.

This might help.

And yes, there are programs for ripping music on your iPod to your computer, but any names have managed to escape me at the moment.

Still threatening to devour me opens wide,

Hook up your ipod to the computer.

Open a folder. Any folder.

Go to 'tools' --> 'folder options' --> 'view'.

check 'show hidden files and folders'.

go to 'my computer' --> open your ipod (as the flash drive)

there should be some folders within there that weren't there before, and they are slightly transparent (that means they are set to 'hidden')

look around and there should be a folder called 'music'.

look inside. SUPRISE!

...you didnt hear this from me...

This works, but all of your files come out with names like "XCTR" "FGTY" & "GHUI" etc..

iDump.

And to the guy saying they are stored online if you bought them, how do you access that?

I use Music Rescue...
It annoyingly asks you to buy it every fifty songs, but never actually makes you do it.

All the tags are correct inside iTunes though aren't they? They're just weird in the folder.
