So I thought of a weird question to ask. Ever since I can remember, whenever I sing along to songs (that I'm really passionate about) my eyes will water up. I'm not crying because I'm singing a sad song or anything. I don't feel any emotion save for the passion for the song itself.

I've always wondered if anyone else does this? And what causes it?

I'd have to say guy junk wins but not by much. It's like winning a beauty contest against Steve Buscemi.

I hate that, but it happens to me, too.

Doesn't when I growl, though... That's one good reason I switched

There's a girl (One of the big o'tity sisters) at my church that always cries when singing. I never understood why, because like in a recent thread, there is no emotional attachment to songs.

That's happened to me. But only when I tried screaming along to the grudge, by tool. I ran out of oxygen and almost passed out.

What kind of sick and twisted world do you live in my friend? Anyone who is making music and does not feel emotional attachment needs to gtfo. Sorry, I don't listen to bands like Nickelback. And what is this thread you speak of as if I should know what you're talking about?

It's probably related to why some of us tear up when we yawn.

I barely ever cry. I don't cry when I sing, or anything. The only things that I've cried about recently were, thinking about a girl (yeah, i know), and when Tom Hanks loses Wilson in Cast Away.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

Maybe it's just the facial expressions pushing more liquid out. I have a similar problem but it comes and goes with no reason. I have dry eyes due to large tear ducts and at odd times my eyes will water a lot to compensate.

In the Bullet in a Bible DVD, Billie Joe Armstrong chokes up a lot during "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and apparently always does that, because he wrote that about his dad's passing.

I remember shedding a few tears during "Far Away" at the Nickelback concert. I claimed I was only emotional due to contact high...

It happens to me all the time.

Songs that always get me:
"Thunder Road"
"Maybe I'm Amazed"
"Hallelujah"
"Layla"
"Last Kiss"

i'll admit this little wussy moment: this girl broke up with me that i was really into and i used to sing "Only One" by Yellowcard all the time. well, it didnt realize i had the CD in the car and it came on. i sang along...and bawled like a girl.

i felt a ****load better after, but whatever. my metal bandmates would castrate me if i admitted that...oh wait...shouldn't tell the pit that...oh well.
