There is a theory that if you listen to music (and other things) it can condition you to feel certain things and remember things, etc.

Are there any composers or musical pieces that cause good or bad reactions in you.
I'm not talking about, you hear Ricky Martin and think, 'this is gay' because he's a pop star. I mean seriously.

For me some ringtones on my phone sends shivers down my spine and make me feel stressed since I used to wake up early for school with them as the alarm ringtone.

But most Frank Zappa songs, in particular songs like Camarillo Brillo or Franks solo's, they cause me to feel very uplifted and very happy. My theory is that my dad loves Frank Zappa, so I think my minds conditioned it to my childhood, which thankfully I was fortunate to not have too many problems. It's amazing, almost all of Zappa's pieces that i've heard have some sort of positive effect on me.

How about you?

Music can be very powerful.

Hearing Akira yamaokas music makes me feel kinda stress free (i often listen to it in work in the bogs etc lol), I think it reminds me of when I was a bit younger sitting in my room playing the silent hill games without a care in the world haha. But yeah I do think that some songs remind you of things.

My dad listened to CCR a lot when I was growing up, and hearing songs like Proud Mary really bring back the good feelings of being a kid again. Not like it was that long ago anyways but you get the idea hahah.

Frank Zappa's awesome by the way.

vivaldi makes me happy and kind of energetic...not quite pumped up though.
and as much as everyone hates him, pretty much everything by james blunt makes me feel like a should be with some gorgeous girl, but makes me feel sad at the same time...weird.
