So im doing a paper in sociology and it has to be about a subculture and the norms/valunes of the subculture. Obviously Im doing the culture of guitar players, Ive got a lot of ideas down but i need more, so what are some norms/values of guitar players?

Kinda but more generalized like about people who play guitar like what they value/what are the norms...im not 100 percent on if im sticking with this idea thats why i posted this to see what others though, its hard to explain, like the norms of being a guitar player i guess if that helps at all?

When you hear music, you think of it in terms of guitar chords and notes, whereas a normal n00b will think of it in terms of "hey, this sounds cool."
