Just sounds like tremolo and harmonising to me.

For the best tingle, use Original Source mint. That shit feels amazing on your balls.

He is using his killswitch!

Pretty sure he isnt using a tremolo too!

he taps the frets with his left hand, and uses his right hand to switch p/ups; with one set at full volume and one off - effectively creating a killswitch. he adds a harmony up a fifth (seven frets), probably using a whammy, or an overdub.

Hmm...that's probably true, but you could probably get the same effect with a tremolo effect.

Yeah just saw him do it live.

Another question, about the solo. Is he hitting all those notes or is he just changing the pitch with the whammy?

1st half of the solo: fast picking (probably with hammer-ons in between)
2nd half: "picking" (hammer-on) the notes while doing killswitch

If you're ever wondering what the hell Morello's doing, the correct answer is usually killswitching
