i guess i will ask here...
what are those cymbals called that are shaped like bowls and make that high pitched ting noise, you know normally they are stacked on top of the ride

You're maybe thinking of a splash. But if you want the *ding* sound, just use the bell of the ride.

EDIT: China's don't make that high pitched, ting noise.

Or I think Zildjian makes a cymbal called a Radia Cup it's like a ride but with a big bell and a small bow. They go "ting."

No, china cymbals are the cymbals that look like those chinese hats.

I think they're called chime bowls, but I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.
