Its a '76 with some weird dragon etched into it
It looks legit, but im wondering about the price of these if they're in good condition, and the quality of the wood and whatnot.

Lawsuit Ibanez Les Pauls are at least as good as Gibsons from that era. They are high-quality shit.

Price nowadays is anywhere from $500-$1100. Depends on features, e.g. bolt-on vs. set-neck, etc.

wait...
What about the giant dragon in it?
Its for like 400 bucks or so,bolt on
Gimme like 3 minutes, and ill get up some pics.
Oh yeah, its a post lawsuit guitar too.

Are you considering buying it? I might, if it weren't a bolt-on.

There's no gaurantee the dragon is from the factory - and even if it is, it's probably nothing significant, just a tad more collectors value. There were quite a few crazy inlaid guitars from Ibanez, IIRC.

Can't help with the serial number, sorry.

Yes, i am considering buying it, as it is only 300 dollars. its etched into the finish, because of year of the dragon aparently. I think it looks legit though, so im not sure.

Anyone help on the serial number?

I just realized it has no engraving on the truss rod cover. the only other pic i can find on a post lawsuit has something engraved. I guess that doesnt nececarily make it a fake, but possible i guess.

Looks pretty good. You should probably play it first to see how it is.
Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

That's a post lawsuit headstock. The lawsuit filed against them was on their copying the Gibson "open book" headstock.

$300 still sounds like a fair price though. Those are quality instruments.

Definitely. I've really only played 1 les paul that i liked, and that was like a 10 year old les paul classic at a local guitar shop. It felt amazing. Maybe this one will surprise me too. You never know.

I guess I didn't phrase my post correctly... or I am misreading everybody else's.

What I meant is, that is not a "lawsuit" Ibanez. So I get the feeling from your previous posts that you may think the guitar is more valuable than it actually is.

The headstock in the pics is the one they switched to after the lawsuit. A "lawsuit" Ibanez has a headstock exactly like a Gibson (looks like an "open book" profile).

It still seems like a fair price for that guitar though. On the other hand if the seller is pushing the fact that it's a "lawsuit" Ibanez, he's either lying to push the price or he's ignorant of the "lawsuit" models. If he's selling it based on the "lawsuit" thing you may be able to negotiate a better price.

Anyways, hopefully I'm making sense, it's late and I need sleep...

Yes, i understand that part. Maybe i can lower him down a bit, but nonetheless, as long as the wood isnt shatty, that is a vintage guitar, nonetheless.
