epi custom
or
epi G-400

The standard would work too.
The music you seem to play requires humbuckers.
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400 with Gotoh GE1996T (EMG 85/60)
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)

Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

My point is that the epiphones would be much better for the style of music he's playing than the MIM strats/teles.
In short,
For hard rock: Humbuckers>single coils.

Definitely that '72 Tele. I mean, the LP could work for G'n'R but the Tele would be good for some Zeppelin, too...hmmm, I'd think the Fender to be better quality...but who knows?

Tele. Better build quality for one. Number two, it covers all the tones you listed; Keith is famous for his Tele's, Paige used them up until Led Zep IV, and Izzy Stradlin used Tele's all through GnR and they really do work for it.

go with the 72 tele but get the deluxe instead of the custom because it has 2 wide range humbuckers and is probably one of the most versitile guitars.

i realise that most of the music you play is played on a les paul but check out some silverchair stuff. daniel johns uses a 72 tele deluxe.

check out these vids.

In my opinion the EP Custom.

BUT

Go to your local shop and try out all of the choices. DECIDE on the one which feels the best in your hands...
