I always seem to be getting a lot of static noise coming from my amp. Could this be interference from other electricals? It increases with the gain and volume to the point where it ruins the sound completely.

Can anyone help?

could be a bad guitar cable.

or maybe a loose guitar output, or amp input, or unshielded guitar.

if the static is btwn a# and b then it's 60hz hum and is unavoidable when using anything electronic
