off topic, but how is the danelectro fish n' chips? its the only really affordable EQ pedal I could find out there, the others are pricey...

It's a pretty good pedal, the plastic case is really shoddy though. If you can afford it get a MXR 10 band.

Ive heard the behringer one is quite quite good.
especially for the moneys.
Probably worth a look at for a first eq.
