I play both, though my repertoire for acoustic is fairly limited, essentially a few songs I made up, Opeth's album Damnation, and Stairway to Heaven.

Must say, the acoustic guitar makes figuring out chord progressions a lot easier.

I use my acoustic mostly, but that's because I use it to practice my electric songs. If I can et it down on an acoustic, doing it on electric is easy as hell.
