One of the Electro-Harmonix Holy Grails, I'd go with the Holy Grail Plus/+

you mean the holier grail or holiest grail?

If price is not an issue, consider this the vintone outboard.

+1, I have heard its the ****s.

Other than that, a buddy of mine has a Boss RV-5, which he likes, but I havent ever played with it.

I also checked the Boss twin pedal Space Echo but you know...gotta search a lot first...I'll check out the holy grail.

I have the HG and like it very much. Hard to tell from a spring reverb, and the hall setting is great. The flerb setting is a very usable psychedelic extra. I paid $99 USD for mine, which includes a power adaptor.

Boss RV-5 I think it is my friend has got.

Very impressive

Personally I think reverb only sounds good on solo's with long bends

Actually if you're playing on clean...with a little reverb your sound becomes very sweet..especially for post rock.

Get a Holy Grail, just the standard one. It's half the price of the Boss one and twice as good. Alternatively, see if you can find a used Boss RV-3, much better than the RV-5.

Enjoy occasionally controversial ramblings related to guitars? I have a blog which meets these criteria.

i like my holy grail , if i had to buy again i would probably go for the holier grail because it has more control over the settings
