my neck is bowing slightly on my rg120 which way do i turn my truss rod. and do i need to restring it or just loosen the strings. ive done it bfore but it was a long time ago and i dont want to turn it more than i have to

hold the guitar so the neck is to your left. to straighten it out pull the wrench towards you only a 1/4 turn at first. keep doing until satisfied

Be sure to slacken the strings before doing any truss-rod adjustments. Not as much important if you're adding bow to the neck, but to be on the safe side, I slacken them regardless.

Also remember that a little adjust goes a LONG way. And also that it may take several hours for the neck to finally settle, so that after making an adjustment and playing it right after, you may come back tomorrow to find that it's moved just a little bit more.
