Hey all,
At the start of the song, you know where there's that palm muting bit and then that scale run? What scale is that? And also what scales/modes are good for playing in hardcore/metal core style? Thanks in advance

Why do you care? Write what sounds good, not what fits into scales.

Take this to the BFMV only thread too, please.

Varients of the Minor Scales, BFMV either plays in The Key of C or D ALWAYS. But yea for most metal and stuff thats droped tunned its played in the key of the lowest pitch string. So the chuggity chugs match well into riffs.

For a moe techy sound I use the C harmonic minor scales in Drop C. Bands like ABR use them. Also BMTH uses them in what ever tunning they are in
