well my amp's( '76 fender champ 6w) speaker is really old, and the sound it makes is just brutal, its not nice at all.
so the time as come to replace the speaker, and i don't know what to put in it (im thinkin about celestions but i don't know.),
i play blues and classic rock, most of the time
and see my guitars in my sig.

thanks in advance
(BTW tell me if u need to know anything else.)

I'm pretty sure what he's saying is that you should send e-mail to Ted Weber of Weber Speakers.

EDIT: Here you go, you lazy bastard: http://www.google.fi/search?q=ted+weber

Now that I've done all the hard work for you, the only thing you need to do is point your cursor at the first link on the search page and click.

How is it that the second the internet came to be, everyone lost the ability to do even the tiniest bit of work... "hai! how do i holde teh pick lolz!?", "WHAT DOZ ALTRNEAT PICKINGZ MEN!?" and so on.

Dial it back a notch, eh?

Drew and I supply plenty enough prick attitude to this forum already.
This in only your 4th post here. You haven't earned the right, just yet.

btw, calling someone out for being lazy is one thing.
"you lazy bastard"

Mr.Cuddles,

A Jensen P8R would probably be a great choice in a Silverface Champ.
They don't come cheap, though. About $90.
Whatever you choose, make sure it's 4 ohms.
That's the correct impedance for that amp.

I just replaced the stock 'Oxfart' in my 76 Champ with a Jensen C8R a few days ago. Massive improvement, and it's not even broken in yet.

lol @ Oxford "Oxfart"

I don't know why I didn't think to mention the C8R.
That has to be a ton cheaper than the alnico version.

Yup, about half the price. The Jensen mod series is also generally well liked, and those (8") are half the price of the C8R!

Remember that it is also possible to fit a 10"er in the Champ, but it requires the baffle to be replaced. The baffle is glued in place, so it won't be possible to remove it without destroying it.
