So as summer is drawing near, here in the US anyway, I feel the time has come to learn some good summer songs. But every year, for some reason I draw blanks on what to learn. So basically my challenge to my fellow UGers is this...

Suggest me some fun to play, lively summer songs that just make you want to be outdoors and having fun.

I would probably consider myself somewhere in between an intermediate player and an experienced player, if that makes this any easier for yall. Im open to any and all genres of music, just so long as its an acoustic song.

Thanks UG... I love you guys. lol
Selj, that would be cool to learn. But I could just see myself trying to lug my amp everywhere this summer just to play that. lol.

But I like CCR rock. Good suggestion.
Kim Mitchell - Patio Lanterns.

Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

Chris is the king of relating music things to other objects in real life.
blue sky - allman brothers
saturdays in the park - chicago
wish you were here - pink floyd
more than a feeling - boston
sweet home alabama - lynyrd skynyrd

some of those aren't originally acoustic, but all of them have rhythm parts that can be pretty easily adapted to acoustic.
