Hey, I have a takamine Hirade classical guitar, and today i have changed the strongs for the first time. I found out that the nut isn't glued to the neck. is this normal?

Lucky you because you can shim it if you need to without having to break a glue bond. Unlucky you because it will fall out when you change strings, and you have to make sure you keep it installed in the right orientation.

I prefer my nuts not to be glued down (go ahead; laugh). It makes about as much sense as gluing a saddle in.
Sincerely, Chad.

I too prefer my nuts to be loose.
