They're already obviously going to pull having more than 13 regenerations of the Doctor. Them keeping Tennant through one is more than possible (not actually, but in their little messed up world where they write but don't understand Doctor Who).

I doubt very strongly that they would do that though. RT may have very little understanding of what the audience wants, but I think he knows enough that by ending the episode with the Doctor on the brink of regeneration he's gone and told the entire nation that they're either getting a new Doctor or that something's going to stop the regeneration.

Well, it has to end as it being David tennant at the end of the episode, as im pretty sure they are only having the 3 specials because he is contracted to some play for most of the year, so why would they boot him out?

if they regenerate him into a completely new doctor, then take him back to being Tennant, it will be awful writing, and i would just think its shocking. They have either just got to stop the regeneration, or maybe change him back to an older doctor or something. I dunno. I think im probably going to leave disappointed next week.

Its a shame, up until the being killed by a dalek, i was really liking that episode

I honestly thought that Rose would be the one who gets shot by the dalek. Did anyone else see the whole "SURPISE DALEK!" thing before it happened?

About 95% of viewers did.

It was when it got to the slow motion bit...

Tennant's doing hamlet next year, so he doesnt have time to film DW

i think, what might happen, is that because the tardis couldnt get to the planets on it's own, the doc wont have enough energy to regenerate, so he'll stop, but have got far enough through to be healed.

Or regenerate but still be Tennant

EDIT: tennant IS a good actor - who d'you want, Tom ****ing Hanks?

Tom Hanks actually wouldn't suit the role as well as Tennant. So...

Will anyone else be outraged if they kill Gwen (Ianto to a lesser degree). Also I may be looking into it to much, but did crazy dalek not say something along the lines of "the Dr's loyalist companion will suffer eternal death". Technically speaking Jack has known the Dr much longer than the others and is the easiest character to push into a never ending death.

That would explain Face of Bo.

However, I'd say the loyalest would have to be Rose.

Nah, it's the TARDIS. It's meant to be alive, isn't it? I'm sure they mentioned that during Eccleston's time there.

I think there will be some kind of convoluted plot twist involving the doctor regenerating back into david tennant.
I'm sure I read somewhere that they weren't making a new series until 2010 but david tennant would star in 3 doctor who specials in 2009

From what Ive read and heard, that is about right... Apparently David Tennant regenerates (eventually) into David Tennant again. Only I dont know when or how etc.

However, today's episode was awesome. Daleks, back again. And if you've watched the old Dr. Who's its a complete shock as Davros should have died, or at least was presumed dead.

Pitty about there not being a Dr Who for about 1 and a half years though. But I suppose it'll give me time to watch the DVD's again and understand "Bad Wolf"

Haha! I couldnt agree more... Ive never seen that on a Doctor Who episode before, and Ive been watching it since I was 8...

P.S - Does anyone know who the Doctor is going to regenerate into for the next episode (cant be arsed to read up you see), that is, if at all he regenerates into someone new.

Also does anyone realise that due to the doctor regenerating, the Daleks can never actually kill the Doctor, unless under extreme circumstances.

Did Dalek Caan make anyone else laugh? Sitting there in his...thing, muttering away to himself. I actually cracked up when he said something like "I FLEEWWWWWW!"

I thought it was "Khan" but yeah, it was quite funny, but bearing in mind, it has become insane over the years. I believe it showed its face back in one of the old Dr. Who episodes.

He gets a set amount of regenerations, something like 13/14 isn't it? The master got a new set of regenerations before though so...
