hey

some time ago you guys made me decide i was gonna get a VOX AD50 VT as my new amp. however, im considering something else...

what i was gonna do was this:

a) buy the Vox with my saved up money
b) ask my mother a new guitar (PRS SE Custom)

but, i could do something like this:

a) ask my mother for a new amp, the Peavey Valveking 112
b) use my saved up money to buy pedals
c) keep my current guitar (at least for another year or more), which is a BC Richy Warlock.

what do you think is the best way to go?

and basically all my gear needs upgrading; Crate 15watt amp, old zoom floorboard and the bc richy. but for now, good amp + new guitar (then i'd buy pedals as i go) or better amp + pedals and in the "far" future a better guitar?

Go with the first one. I don't much like the Valve King.
Jackson RR5 Rhoads
ESP Viper 400
Epiphone Les Paul EMGs (81/85)
Edwards E-CY-165CTM
FJA Modded ENGL Powerball Halfstack
Framus Cobra + Avatar 4x12 Greenbacks

BC Richy

I'd be inclined to go with the Valve King actually. Its a good first valve amp, does everything quite well.
New tracks on my profile! Please check them out and see what you think!

your current guitar thru a VK would sound better than anything through the vox i'd say.

get a new guitar the vox is perfectly good id imagine

could be better, the single valve circuit does more for vox's sales and marketing than it will for your tone

wheras the VK is all tube
