Hey, I'm selling my Epiphone Les Paul Junior, and I'm open to part exchanging it for a nice Fender Telecaster. Anyway, I got a message from a guy on eBay saying he would consider part exchanging his 1992 Fender Standard Tele. Considering the price of a brand new Mexican Tele, how much would the 92 model be worth? Would it be worth more? It's not exactly vintage age or anything. What would you consider a fair offer on it, as my LP includes a Gibson deluxe gigbag and strap.

Also, how would you recommend doing a part exchange safely? I've never had previous experience of doing this so I would like to know the safest and simplest way.

Here's a pic of the guitar. All help appreciated.

I know it has that ding on the bottom right side.

Well, at least one of you checked my sig

My guitar cost £219 brand new. The gigbag that comes with it is a Gibson deluxe which cost £60, and and the strap was £20. This is what I have for sale/part exchange, so what should I offer him. Bear in mind brand new Tele's cost are available from £288 in the UK.

So with that in mind, can anyone help me out a bit more? Not just with how much I'm selling/buying for but also on how to safely part exchange via eBay.

Just be careful about ebay trading. :|

Of course, you're getting a spectacular deal; I'm surprised this guy is trading.

Sounds fishy, a little. Just be careful is all I can say.

There are plenty of decent people trading on eBay, but just make sure it's a legit deal. Ask the guy as many questions as you can/want.
