Hi,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Today i just bought an Epiphone EJ-160E, i played it and it sound pretty good. However, i came across some pictures on the net and my EJ-160E is slightly different. The one on musician friends have those green vintage machine head, a truss rod cover and a strap pin on the neck while mine have grover tuners, no truss rod cover and no strap pin on the neck. Are there like different versions for this guitar?

Now, i beginning to wonder whether mine guitar is authentic or not

Thanks in advance!

He could've replaced the tuners. The whole thing could be a custom job. You'd really have to ask him. I doubt it's fake, though. Serial number? Anything?
Sincerely, Chad.

i highly doubt he replaced the tuners because he have never played the guitar, he bought it and kept it aside. Hmmm, but what puzzles me are that there are no holes drill for the truss rod and strap pin. Yeah thats another thing that puzzles me, the serial number space is blank. But there's the model and stuff like this instruments is made of quality materials and stuff like that

Could be a fake? Maybe. When I was in China, you saw nothing but fakes and blems hanging everywhere. However, most of the time these guitars were of just as high of quality as the ones they were mimicking. Honestly, if you're happy with it, don't question it.
Sincerely, Chad.
