I have a squier affinity strat and want the neck to be glossy like a fender strats neck.
I was just wondering if i could just sand up the finish on the neck and then put like 10 coats of clear coat (spray paint) on the neck and have it work.

BTW its a maple neck w. skunk stripe and a rosewood board.
I have painted a whole guitar and i know the basics of it but i was just checking here to make sure clear coat is what id want to make it all glossy.

I Also was wondering if i could some how just drop a FR in?

You can't drop a FR into a strat. You may need to route a bit. You may have to plug the trem posts, and then re-drill them. You'll have to route a lot if you want it to be full-floating. You'll also want to put on a locking nut.

Note that simply applying a ton of clear won't get the gloss, you will have to actually FINISH it.
Not just spray it with a bunch of clear coat.

(By finish, I mean smooth out via wet sanding and buffing.)
Main gear (For complete list, see profile):
Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plain-top
Basswood Telecaster, 2 single-sized HB's, both split.
Epiphone Valve Junior
B-52 AT-412 Cabinet
Oh, and I have a Squier VM Jazz Bass too.

+1 he's right.

why not leave it?

unfinished necks are the best in my opinion.
