As the title suggests, I need a flanger or chorus to add to my board. I really like EVH's flange sound, but unfortunately the MXR EVH Flanger and the regular MXR Flanger are out of my price range. I was thinking about the Boss BF-3 because I've heard good things about it and I like the sound.

And I can't decide whether to get a flanger or chorus. I've wanted a flanger for a while now, but I recently was looking at the EHX Small Clone and liked that too.

So which one would I benefit most from?

Well, in terms of quality of choices you'll probably be better off with the Small Clone.

I love the small clone, one of my favorite pedals

For a flanger, try an Ibanez FL9 or try and search for a used Ibanez FFL which is what I have, same circuit as the FL9 but its cheap and easy to find and looks so retro

I like the DigiTech Mulit-Chorus. It can also get a nice, lush, flanger sound.

Really great for classic rock (60's-80's).

It's only like $100. Worth a look imo.
