I'm looking into getting a loop pedal pretty soon. Right now I'm looking at the Boss RC series.

What I was wondering is, how easy is it to record a riff and get it to play back in perfect time? I'm going to be using this with a band in a live setting, and I want to make sure I can record a short rhythm sequence and have it play back in time with the drums/bass fairly easy.

I saw a demo video of somebody doing it and he made it look really easy, but I heard from someone recording and perfectly timed playback in real time is hard.

Could someone tell me about their experiences with this? I appreciate it.

You just need to practice with it.
It was difficult for me for a little while, but it's all about getting the timing down.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.
